In R2, the availability/Unpalatability of Items added to Orders are bound by the dates these Order start and end on.
So, it might be possible that despite having sufficient inventory, availability of a specific item for an Order is impacted since one starts on the day another Order ends.
Let's begin with a situation where we have 4 orders and none of them overlap. Here, if there is a case of Items not being available on a specific date, it would strictly be a 'Stock' count issue.

Now let's modify the Order dates and see how does this impact the overall situation.
This time two of the Orders become "Not Available" as the required inventory is not available on a specific date.

Now from above situation, let's start considering the 'Time Stamp' as well in the Order-of-preference of Order fulfillment.
Since, while considering the 'Time Stamp' when Order date is same, Orders are processed on a 'First-come First Serve' basis, shown below is situation of 3 Orders whose Ending / Starting date falls on 13th July.
As you can see, the Order 'Ord-137' which earlier could not get processed, now can go out successfully, as after considering the time-factor, enough inventory would be available at the time, when it is needed.

In the chart below, we are considering Orders: 'Ord 137' and 'Ord-144' whose ending and Starting date coincides on 20th July.
Since earlier the time-factor was not considered, Ord-144 remained unprocessed, as a transcending effect of Ord-137 being unprocessed.
Now, let's consider the time factor and see how this changes the situation for these two Orders.

| Rental Order Starts @ 3:00 PM |
The Order (Ord-137) which started on 8 PM on 13th July is ending at 6 AM on 20th July. And thus at 3PM, when Ord-144 has to commence, enough inventory is still not available, so it remains unprocessed.
So, let's attempt to resolve the item unavailability by introducing a Transfer-in Order or a Purchase Order on 20th.
Here also, we will attempt at two different scenarios.
Transfer-in Order (Inventory incoming on 20th July at 9 AM) with 5 Units of SKU-0179

| Rental Order Ord-144 Starts @ 3:00 PM |
As you can see in the above Gantt Chart, though at 3:00 PM, the stock is at 13 units, sufficient enough to process Ord-144, the Order is still tagged as Not-available.
This is because, it is not yet deciphered whether the Purchased stock on 5 units came in first, or the Outgoing stock for Ord-144 was meant to be shipped first.
But, since the 'Minutes' portion of time-stamp is also considered, system will apply the logic appropriately and accordingly process the Order.
Just for the depiction purpose, shown below is a break-up of time between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
