Booking Line Hourly Fixed Pricing, Clear Labor Grid Pricing and Re-apply pricing

To manage the payroll for Freelancers, a new Unit called 'Hourly Fixed', has been introduced.

Now, Payroll Managers and Hiring Managers can use it to bill any Freelancer where the regular Pay Policy Grid cannot be used.

This feature has been introduced, since the 'Rates' on basis of which payable amount for 'Freelancers' change quite often unlike In House resources case.

How this feature works?

When you choose this 'Hourly Fixed' unit, R2 will not apply the Pay Policy Grid (even if applicable).

Then R2 will pull the Hourly Cost defined on the assigned Resource for that Position and calculate the Amount using the formula as given below.

Total Amount = Work hours in EWT1 x 'Hourly Fixed Rate' + Work hours in EWT2 x 'Hourly Fixed Rate' + ....

or

Total Amount = 'Hourly Fixed Rate' x [Sum of total Work Hours in EWT]

When 'Hourly Fixed' unit is set on booking line:

  • In EWT the Total Hours will be set as RT Hours and OT, DT will be set to zero. And these will be non-editable. Whenever Total Hours is changed, it will set to RT Hours.

  • Total RT hours from EWTs will be carried to booking line RT Hours

  • Rate on booking line will be pulled from Resource's Position Grid > Hourly Cost, if Resource assigned (Video Engineer 01) else it will be pulled from Hourly Cost defined in Position Pricing on R2 side (Video Engineer 02).

  • It will not use the Default Pay Policy Grid or Pay Policy Grid when Hourly Fixed unit is set"

  1. Select the two booking lines Video Technical Directors New1 01 and Video Technical Directors New1 02  and choose Action > 'Clear Grid Pricing' (New option to be provided with this enhancement) and observe the Rate and Amount columns:

Selecting Action > Clear Grid Pricing:

  • This will clear Default Pay Policy Grid or Pay Policy Grid and pull the Rate for the booking line from Resource's Position Grid > Hourly Cost, if Resource assigned (Video Technical Directors New1 01) else it will be pulled from Hourly Cost defined in Position Pricing on R2 side (Video Technical Directors New1 02).

  • This will calculate the Total Cost based on RT, DT, OT hours on the EWT of the respective booking line and RT, DT, OT Costs like regular pricing works in R2 Labor."
