Add 'Additional Product IDs' for Items and Kits

You can define the Additional Product IDs for Kits/Items and search the same by Additional Product IDs. This helps when the company merge happens, you can directly search by previously identified IDs which is provided as Additional Product IDs in R2. You can also add the item and kits to the Order using additional Product ID.

To add 'additional product IDs', an importable button is provided in the 'Product ID' field in 'Item edit' window and 'Kit edit' window as shown in Figure 1.0

Clicking the importable button leads you to 'Additional Product ID' pop-up where you can define the aliases.

1. Add: To add the additional Product ID. The Additional Product IDs are unique along with Primary Product ID.

2. Edit: To edit the existing additional Product ID.

3. Delete: To delete the additional Product ID.

4. Product ID list: Displays the additional Product ID list created for a primary Product ID.

Search Items/Kits by Additional product ID

Additional Product ID field is added to search the product by the defined Additional Product ID. System looks for the primary Product ID which is tagged with the keyed in additional product ID and displays the result with the Primary Product. Sort option is also available however, sorting through additional product ID sorts based on the primary product ID.**

**You may face slight delay in performance when searching for a product using Additional Product ID.

'Additional Product ID' search field is added from the following places.

• Maintenance => Search Items

• Maintenance => Search Kits

• Accounts => Search menu => Items

• Accounts => Search menu => Kits

• Accounts => Search Inventory icon (applicable for Items and Kits)

• Search Inventory (applicable for Items and Kits)

Add Items and Kits to the Order by 'Additional Product ID'

You can add items and kits using the additional product ID using the below means. When you add through additional product ID, system adds the item with Primary product ID if found

• New line => Key in => Product ID

• Enter Items icon in tool bar

• Import Items in tool bar

A new data convertor is provided to load the 'Additional Product IDs' for a product. Check Data Conversion module => Additional Product ID document for more information.
