NA | NA | Introduction to item's category and sub-category |
Items can be added to and organized using sub-categories in R2. You can classify products based on the category and sub-category they belong to. This would give the users a better level of organization of the products in the inventory. These sub-categories are groups for which same criteria are applied.
In this window, several groups can be assigned to an item. 'Groups', 'Allow', and 'GL Account' information defined in the sub-category window reflects in all the items and kits belonging to the sub-category by default. But user still has the option to change these 'Groups', 'Allow', and 'GL Account' information.
If 'Exchange Group' defined for the sub-category and that of the item or kit do not match, then R2 does not override the Exchange Group defined for the item or kit. In the same manner, if availability group of item or kit does not match with that of the sub-category then it will not be overridden.
While searching for items, sub-category can be used as a criterion. If the sub-category radio button is selected, then all items which belong to a particular sub-category will be displayed.
