Picture speaks a thousand words, and thus it is easier to identify a product by its image. Therefore, R2 has this feature to add an image for a product. All this can be managed through the View Image window within Items/Kits/Parts edit.
A product may have multiple physical views, sub-parts, etc. In such case, you may want to include all the views of the product, each as a separate image. Yes, R2 supports this as well. To enable adding multiple images for a product, you just need to configure the 'Media Files Root Folder'.Click here to know more.
The added images can be viewed in various places across R2 like Orders, Warehouse tasks, Item search etc.,
Key Features
Figure 1.0: Sample View Image window

Primary Image: This checkbox is to select an image as primary so that you can view that image as a first one when the view image window opened.
The primary image is always stored in the database.
In case of a single image, by default, system selects the image stored in the database as primary, and the 'Primary' checkbox is disabled.
When you add multiple images to a product, having the 'Media Files Root Folder' configured, you can select any one of those images as primary. Upon primary selection, that image will be pushed to database and the one residing in database will be copied to the media files root folder. Basically, it swaps the two images.
If the product has primary image added, then the checkbox in the 'Image' column appears selected in the 'Items/Kits/Search Inventory' search windows.
Carousel viewer: Next/previous/First/last icons is to traverse through the multiple images.
Zoom: Zoom in/out option is to increase/decrease the image without losing the resolution.
Reset: To reset the zoomed In/Out image back to its original size.
Add: To add the images.
Delete: To delete an image displayed in the view port.
Download: You can save the image currently displayed in the view port to a local folder or wherever the R2 application is installed.
Image File name: Filename is displayed beside the carousel viewer icons.
Window re-size: Re-sizing the window re-sizes your image as well without losing the resolution. Click and drag the edges of the window to re-size.
