Marking Items/Kits/Misc. Charges/Labor/Parts as Active /Inactive

 Marking the inventory as Active/Inactive

 User can set restrictions for the Items/ Kits/ Misc. Charges/ Labor/ Parts which are added to an Order. This can be achieved by setting Items or Labor as 'Active' or 'Inactive' from within the respective edit windows.

  • System will not allow to add any Items/ Kits/ Misc. Charges/ Labor/ Parts which is marked as Inactive into an order.

  • If an item which is marked as Inactive after being added to any previous orders, system will not allow the items to be filled on the order.

  • On selecting the option Active (by default, it will be displayed as selected) from within the Items, Kits, Misc. Charges,Labor, or Parts edit window, you will be able to use the Items,Kits,Misc. Charges,Labor, or Parts wherever to be imported and used.

  • If the option Active is cleared (marking as Inactive), then the Items,Kits,Misc. Charges,Labor, or Parts will be considered as Inactive and will be displayed and allowed to use only in restricted areas as follows.

  • Physical Inventory

  • Service Work Order: In Service Work Orders, system will allow to create work orders for Inactive items,  however the inactive items will not be allowed to add as required items for a service work order.

  • Maintenance: In Maintenance module, the inactive items would be displayed only in the primary search windows for Items/Kits/Misc. Charges/Labor/Parts.

  • If the Items,Kits,Misc. Charges,Labor,Parts are marked as Inactive, you will not be able to use the same in any new order, however if already used in any existing order, system allows the user to return the same via return order.

  • While updating the status of an item as Inactive, system will not make any changes to the current stock and availability status of the item.

  • For a Serial Kit having an item which is marked as Inactive, system will allow the serial kit to be added to an order, however the inactive items will be restricted from being filled to the order.

  • For a Non-Serial Kit having an item which is marked as Inactive, while adding the kit to the order , system ignores the inactive item and adds the remaining items with the Non-Serial kit to the order.

  • While searching for a kit using Package Finder, if the item/kit used for searching the kit is present in an inactive kit, then the kit will not be displayed.

  • While duplicating an order, if any items present in the order which has been made as inactive will not be copied to the duplicate order.
