Change in Support for Screen Customization

The Screen Customization support in the R2 application was implemented globally to customize the appearance of the screens in the R2 application by removing, resizing, and replacing the screen components.
With Effect from Version 06.00.03-00
The Screen Customization support in the R2 application has been modified to implement for a set of users belonging to a Sub-Region to customize the appearance of the screens in the R2 application by removing, resizing, and replacing the screen components.
The below Sample Workflow explains the above functionality:
Prerequisites
Select the Maintenance module > Employee tab > Site tab.
Create three Sites and tag the Sub-Regions, as shown in Table 1.0.

Save and Exit the Maintenance module.
Relaunch the R2 application.
Sample Workflow
Select the Site [NEW YORK] with No Sub-Region tagged to it.
Select the Account module > tag the Company [EVERGREEN AV RENTALS].
In the Account window, press the F12 key from the Keyboard to enable the Screen Customization. The Screen Customization is enabled displaying as the [Account - (UI Design Mode)], as shown in Figure 1.0.
Customize the Account window, by removing the Contact Information section, as shown in Figure 1.0.

The Customized Account window is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.1.

Perform a right-click to view the Customization options and select the Save option. The Save Customized Screen dialog box is displayed for tagging the Sub-Region, as shown in Figure 1.2.

Do not tag any Sub-Region and click OK in the Save Customized Screen dialog box, the Account window is globally customized affecting all the Sites.
Exit the Screen Customization mode or the Account - (UI Design Mode) by pressing the Hot Key [SHIFT+F12] or performing a right-click and select the Exit Designer mode.
The customized Account window is displayed, as highlighted and shown in Figure 1.3.
In the R2 Launchpad, modify the Home Site [SANFRANCISCO].
Select the Account module. The customized Account window without the Contact Information section is displayed, as highlighted and shown in Figure 1.3.

From the Site [SANFRANCISCO] > Account window, press the F12 key from the Keyboard to enable the Screen Customization. The Screen Customization is enabled displaying as the [Account - (UI Design Mode)].
Customize the Account window, by removing the Address section and the Sales Person field, as shown in Figure 1.4.

Perform a right-click to view the Customization options and select the Save option. The Save Customized Screen dialog box is displayed for tagging the Sub-Region.
Click the Sub-Region importable button > the Group List window is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.5.
In the Group List window, double-click on the Sub-Region [DE-RENTAL]. The Sub-Region [DE-RENTAL] gets tagged in the Save Customized Screen dialog box, as shown in Figure 1.5.

Click OK in the Save Customized Screen dialog box, the Account window is now customized only for the Site [SANFRANCISCO].
Exit the Screen Customization mode or the Account - (UI Design Mode) by pressing the Hot Key [SHIFT+F12] or performing a right-click and select the Exit Designer mode.
The customized Account window without the Address section and the Sales Person field is displayed, as highlighted and shown in Figure 1.6.

Exit the Account window.
In the R2 Launchpad, modify the Home Site [MELBOURNE].
Select the Account module. The Account window is displayed reflecting only the global Screen Customization changes not displaying the Contact Information section. The Address section and the Sales Person field is displayed, as the screen was customized only for the Site [SANFRANCISCO], as highlighted and shown in Figure 1.7.

Exit the Account window.
In the R2 Launchpad, modify the Home Site [SANFRANCISCO].
Press the CTRL+F12 key from the Keyboard to View the Customized screens from the R2 Launchpad. The Customized Screens window is displayed with the Sub-Region [DE-RENTAL] changes, as shown in Figure 1.8.

Exit the Customized Screens window.
In the R2 Launchpad, from the Home Site [SANFRANCISCO], select the Account module. The Account window is displayed.
Press the F12 key from the Keyboard to enable the Screen Customization. The Screen Customization is enabled displaying as the [Account - (UI Design Mode)].
Right-click and select the Reset to Original option. The system displays a prompt with the message "This will reset all UI changes made in the current screen. Do you want to continue?" with Yes and No buttons, as shown in Figure 1.9.

Select Yes.
The customized Account window in the Site [SANFRANCISCO], gets reset displaying the Address section and the Sales Person field, as the Account window is customized only for the Site [SANFRANCISCO], as shown in Figure 1.10.
The Contact Information section from the Account window is still not displayed, as the deletion of the Contact Information is globally customized affecting all the Sites, as shown in Figure 1.10.

Exit the Account window.
NOTE:
When you Reset to Original from the Sub-Region level, the screen gets reset to System level Customization.
When you Reset to Original from the System level, the screen gets reset to the actual or original screen that was prior to Screen Customization.
