Support to Synchronize the R2 Labor Related Changes in to R2

Support has been provided to validate Labor conflict from R2 Labor to R2.

To validate Labor conflict from R2 Labor to R2, the following changes will be validated:

  1. Add New Position (existing)

  2. Delete existing Position (existing)

  3. RT, DT and OT changes

  4. Task change

  5. Date change

The following workflow displays how the validations are reflected in R2 application.

Sample Workflow

Prerequisites
  1. Install the R2 (Client) on your server.

  2. Install R2 Labor Application.

  3. Login to R2 and select Configuration module > General tab > select the check-box Split Labor line by quantity > save and exit the Configuration module.

Steps
  1. Create a Quote [ORD-1462].

  2. Add 3 Labors [AUDIO ASSITANT], [MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR] and [CAMERA OPERATOR] as shown in Figure 1.0.

The Labor Planning button  will appear enabled in both the Item(s) and Labor grid.

  1. Create 3 Schedules as Job (01-Sept-2017 to 02-Sept-2017), Report (03-Sept-2017 to 07-Sept-2017) and Crew on call (08-Sept-2017 to 10-Sept-2017). This is, as shown in Figure 1.1.

  1. Set the Task as Job for all the three Labors [AUDIO ASSITANT], [MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR] and [CAMERA OPERATOR] , as shown in Figure 1.2.

  1. Save the Quote.

  2. Login to R2 Labor.

  3. Select Planning > search for Quote [ORD-1462]. Click the link for Quote [ORD-1462] , as shown in the Figure 1.3.

  1. The Quote in R2 Labor is displayed as shown in the Figure 1.4.

Adding a Position
  1. Click the Add Position button. The Position Search dialog is displayed. Select the Position [Audio Visual Assistant Technician] and click the Apply button. A new position is added, as shown in the Figure 1.5 and Figure 1.6.

Deleting a Position
  1. Select the Position [Audio Assistant 01] and click the Delete button. The Confirm dialog for deleting the Position is displayed, as shown in the Figure 1.7.

  1. Click the Yes button. The Position [Audio Assistant 01] is deleted.

Changing the Unit
  1. Edit the Unit of the Position [Maintenance Supervisor 01] from [Daily] to [Weekly].

Changing the Task
  1. For the Position [Camera Operator 01], set Task to [Crew on call].

Changing the Dates
  1. Edit the Estimated Work Time for the Position [Camera Operator 01] > click Add New Line > click the Apply button. This is shown in the Figure 1.8.

  1. Click the Save & Exit button.

  2. Go back to R2 application and open the Quote [ORD-1462]. The Quote [ORD-1462] is displayed having the Labor Planning button in red color indicating there is a conflict. This is as shown in Figure 1.9.

  1. 1.       Click the Labor Planning button. The Labor Planning Dialog is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.10.

The figure displays the following:

  1. Newly added Position appears in Green color.

  2. Deleted Position appears in Red color.

  3. Changes in the RT, DT, OT, Task and Dates appear in Pink color.

  1. To synchronize all the changes to R2, double-click all the lines and click the Synchronize button . The Quote is updated after Synchronization, as shown in Figure 1.11 and Figure 1.12.

Now, the Labor Planning button does not appear in Red color as all the changes are synchronized into R2.
The figure displays the following:

  1. Newly added Position from R2 Labor - [Audio Visual Assistant Technician] is displayed in the grid.

  2. The Position [Audio Assistant 01] deleted from R2 Labor no more exists in the grid.

  3. Changes from R2 Labor in the RT, DT, OT, Task and Dates for the following Positions are reflected in R2 as following:

  1. Date change in Position [Camera Operator 01]: From R2 Labor, the Position [Camera Operator 01] has an addition of new line for 11-Sept-2017 in the Estimated Work Time dialog for the Position [Camera Operator 01]); the system displays Start Date as 08-Sept-2017 and End Date as 11-Sept-2017.

  2. Task change in Position [Camera Operator 01]: From R2 Labor, the Task to [Crew on call] is set to the Position [Camera Operator 01].

  3. Unit Change in Position [Maintenance Supervisor 01]: From R2 Labor, the Unit of the Position [Maintenance Supervisor 01] is edited from [Daily] to [Weekly].

  1. Click the Labor Planning   button. All the changes in the Positions appear in black and the deleted Position does not exist in the table. This is, as shown in the Figure 1.13
