Exchange feature in R2 Order Fill
You can exchange only Reserved, Not Available status lines, not any other.
Reserve by serial not allowed
Permanently Deleted cannot be exchanged
Deleted status cannot be exchanged
If item is marked exchange not allowed will not be. This flag can be set on Order item line
Keep Original Description column will show in Search Inventory only in exchange items workflow. You can select this to keep the original description of the item
Same Exchange group will be listed by default but you can search for other group items and exchange
Show Availability check box will be set to True in Search Inventory in exchange items workflow. Start and End Date will be set same as line being exchanged.
Only respective Item type exchange is allowed i.e.,
Serial Items can be exchanged with Serial Items only
Non-serial Items can be exchanged with non-serial items only
Serial Kits can be exchanged with Serial Kits only
Non-serial Kits can be exchanged with non-serial Kits only
Non-serial currently single line exchange allowed and you can select multiple product lines with any number of quantity to exchange with. This will remain as is:
Serial Items can be exchanged for multiline selection. However, it allows to exchange with any one item equal to the ordered quantity of selected lines. Going forward, it will allow to exchange with any number of items with any number of quantity similar to non-sreial items
We see an unexpected behavior when you select one line from Serial Item and another line from Serial Kit. It will show Items/Kits based on first selected and it will replace both the selected with exchanged. This seems to be unexpected and we might need to fix this.
Price will be retained as originally exchanged item.
Will it be based on Default Items Price For Fill Order config flag?
As per code analysis, it retains the price of exchanged item for all lines. Need to test and confirm.
Items can be Exchanged on a Order through the following access points:
Order Edit
However, here it prompts to update price.
Exchange from Warehouse > Assign window.
Exchange from Warehouse > Future Orders window.
