Non-serial

Behavior of Non-Serial Item when added to a Service Work Order

Every time you are adding a Non-serial item to and Order, you reserve it by its Product ID.

And since a Non-serial item does not any unique identifier, any piece from the available quantity can be picked with equal probability.

The behavior of the system when a Non-serial item (undamaged piece) is added to a SWO is shown below, and how it changes with transition of SWO' status.

Availability Status / Behavior

Details displayed in EUV

Estimate

  • Not Affected as the item has not be reserved by a SWO.

  • And it being added is only speculative/assumed.

  • Availability is same as the Offrent Count.

  • No details are displayed in EUV window

Scheduled

  • All quantities which are tagged to any SWO shown as Repair.

  • On clicking it shows the details of the SWO it is added to.

  • There can be more than one SWO for the same item.

  • This information is shown for all the dates starting with the 'Scheduled Date' until forever.

  • EUV window displays a bar mentioning the SWO which has reserved the item. Starting with the 'Scheduled Date' until forever.

  • There can be more than one bar lines, one for each of the SWO which has reserved the item.

Open

  • All quantities which are tagged to any SWO shown as Repair.

  • On clicking it shows the details of the SWO it is added to.

  • There can be more than one SWO for the same item.

  • This information is shown for all the dates starting with the 'Start Date' until the 'Due Date' or 'End Date', whichever is mentioned or is earlier.

  • EUV window displays a bar mentioning the SWO which has reserved the item. Beginning with the 'Start Date' until the 'Due Date' or 'End Date', whichever is mentioned or is earlier.

  • There can be more than one bar lines, one for each of the SWO which has reserved the item.

Done

  • Not Affected as the item has not be reserved by a SWO.

  • And it being added is only speculative/assumed.

  • Availability is same as the Offrent Count.

  • No details are displayed in EUV window

When a Non-serial item is marked as 'Damaged' the only thing that is affected is the vailable stock.

As by marking an item as 'Damaged' or 'Lost' we are just reducing the remaining quantity on the shelf.

The behavior of the system when a 'Damaged' Non-serial item is added to a SWO is shown below, and how it changes with transition of SWO' status.

Estimate

A line mentions the count of item that were marked as 'Damaged' along with the date on which it was marked.

Locked quantity displays the count of NS items which were marked as Damaged.

'Locked Quantity' is displayed as the 'Not Available'.

Irrespective of the count of items marked as 'Damaged' the EUV shows a 'Single Line' mentioned the 'Count' as Damaged.

Scheduled

A column in the 'Stock Change History' window marks the 'Count' of items as 'In Service'.

  • You can click on this field to view the SWO details.

Locked quantity is displayed as ZERO.

'Locked Quantity' is displayed as the 'In Repair'.

  • This status is displayed starting with the SWO's 'Scheduled Date' until forever.

The EUV window display a bar mentioning the 'Count' of items added to the SWO along with SWO ID.

  • There can be more than one SWO, if each item is added to a separate one.

  • The bar will extend from 'Scheduled Date' to forever.

Open

A column in the 'Stock Change History' window marks the 'Count' of items as 'In Service'.

  • You can click on this field to view the SWO details.

  • This status is displayed starting with the SWO's 'Start Date' until the 'Due Date' or 'End Date', whichever is mentioned or is earlier.

  • There can be more than one SWO, if each item is added to a separate one.

  • The bar will extend from SWO's 'Start Date' until the 'Due Date' or 'End Date', whichever is mentioned or is earlier.

Done

The 'In Service' quantity is moved to 'Revert Back Quantity'.

  • If there was more than one SWO created for damaged quantities, then only 'Count' for which the SWO was closed is moved.

Locked quantity is displayed as ZERO.

  • The 'Offrent' count in the availability window is shown increased from the day, SWO was closed onwards.

 

No bars are displayed in the EUV window.
