Crew Email Response Confirmation Screen

Overview

A Response Confirmation screen is displayed before crew responses submitted through email notifications are recorded in R2 Labor.

This applies to the following email types:

• Confirmation Request emails

• Availability Request emails

Previously, selecting a response option in the email recorded the response immediately. In some organizations, automated email security tools scan links in emails to detect malicious content. These scans can simulate link clicks and may unintentionally submit crew responses without user action.

To prevent this, crew members must confirm the selected response before it is recorded.

Existing Email Response Types

Confirmation Request Emails

The following response options are available:

• Accept

• Decline

Availability Request Emails

The following response options are available:

• Yes, I am available

• No, I am not available

Previous Behavior

Previously, when a crew member selected a response link in the email:

• The application processed the request immediately.

• The response status was recorded automatically.

This behavior allowed automated email security scans to unintentionally trigger responses.

Current Behavior

When a crew member selects a response link in the email:

1. R2 Labor opens a Response Confirmation screen.

2. The selected response is displayed for review.

3. The crew member selects Confirm.

4. The response is recorded in R2 Labor.

This flow applies to all crew email response actions.
