Ability to Search Inventory Descriptions in all Languages

When Multi-Language feature is enabled in the system, the Description in multiple languages can be entered, and a Search for the descriptions in all languages can be performed by selecting the Search in all languages check box in the following windows:

• Search Items/Kits/Misc.Charges/Sub-Category window

• Search Assets window

• Search Parts window

• Search Labors window

• Search Inventory window

Sample Workflow

Prerequisites

Perform the following the steps:

1. Select the Configuration module > General tab.

2. Click the Language importable button field. The Multi Language window is displayed.

3. Tag the below languages.

• English

• German

• French

• Spanish

4. Click OK.

5. Save and Exit the Configuration module.

Scenario

1. Log in as Employee with English as the default Language.

2. Select the Maintenance module.

3. Create the Serial Item [NIKON KIT LENS#1] with the Description [Nikon Kit Lens#1].

4. Click the Multi Language icon. The Multi Language window is displayed.

5. Provide the following descriptions in multiple languages, as shown Table 1.0 and Figure 1.0:

6. Click OK. The system prompts the MultiLanguageMessages dialog box with the message, as shown Figure 1.1.

7. Click Yes. The Serial Item [NIKON KIT LENS#1] Assets get updated with multi-language descriptions.

8. Select the Account module > Search menu > Inventory option. The Search Inventory window is displayed.

9. Select the Search in languages check box.

10. Search for the Item with the Description [Objektiv#1].

11. The Serial Item [NIKON KIT LENS#1] is displayed, as it comprises of the multi-language Description [Nikon Kit Objektiv#1] in German, as shown Figure 1.2. (See Table 1.0 for the Multi Language Descriptions).
