Citrix is a thin client application. It excels in low bandwidth environments such as a wide area network. It also centralizes administration and maintenance. In some cases, it eliminates the need to upgrade old client equipment saving money in two ways: the upfront hardware, labor cost and cost of training employees on the new hardware.
