Suspend/Resume actions on SWO(s)

Let's imagine you were on a video-conference with your office team, and the call got disconnected.

What would you do once you are back on the call ? Most people would begin with saying, "Let's reconvene from where we dropped".

That's what usually happens when an important conversion or process get stalled for any reason. Even if putting a stop-cork to the event was a manual step.

In case of SWOs in R2, temporarily suspending them, and then re-instating them is allowed based on following criteria.

Only the SWO with status as Estimate, Scheduled, or Open are allowed to be Suspended.

Both the Suspend and Resume action has the same effect on the Service Status for

  • Serial Kits

  • Serial Item

  • Serial Kit's Child Asset

  • Non-serial Items >> Only difference being that system doesn't display the 'Service Status'

Suspend/Resume button are available in the Information tab, of the SWO window.

To suspend the SWO current opened in the window, click the  Button: And the SWO is sent into the Suspended state.

This replaces the suspend button with a  button. Upon clicking the SWO is back into its normal state.
