Show Driver availability time bar in Graphical Scheduling (GS) window

In this enhancement, user will be able to view the driver's availability booked in Transportation Logistics (warehouse module) in Graphical Scheduling (GS) window. This helps user to avoid the double booking.

The Graphical Scheduling window displays the driver availability in the resource section time bar for the resource type, Driver.

Following are the fields that displays in tool tip for the driver resource type:

  • Transportation Schedule ID

  • Transportation Schedule Description

  • Vehicles

  • Drivers

  • Trailer

  • Order ID

  • Event ID

  • Location

  • City

  • State

  • Zip

  • Ship and Return Date/Time

Pre-requisites

  • Create an Order in R2 application.

  • In Warehouse module> Transportation logistics > book the driver availability.

 The availability is calculated based on the Ship Date and Estimated Return Date in the Transportation Logistics detail window.

  • If the Estimated return date is blank, then driver availability will not be booked. 

Sample workflow

  1.  In R2 Labor> Planning Order> select created order> open in Graphical Scheduling window.

  1. The booked driver availability details display in resource section time bar.

  1. Double click the Time bar to view the details.

  • If Driver is considered as any other resource in Graphical Scheduling (GS) window, when a Driver is blocked on a Transportation schedule and user tries to drag and drop a booking line in the specific duration where driver is blocked on Transportation, indicates the overlapped booking by changing the time bar to red font.

  • If the Driver is assigned on overlapped duration on more than one transportation schedule, the bar displays in red in Graphical Scheduling window.

  • The Time bars assigned to driver for a Transportation Schedule will be greyed out and cannot be moved to any other driver or resource in Graphical Scheduling (GS) window.

  • Search Resources screen displays a Driver resource as Not Available for the duration on which driver is blocked on a Transportation Schedule.

  • The color of the Driver Availability that shows in the crew calendar can be configured. Path: Web Labor Settings > Configuration > Calendar Event.
