Scenario # 1 (Simple)

Dallas Branch is producing a show in Kansas City. Dallas does a small transfer order from the Chicago Branch to complete their orders. Chicago does a Drop Ship and sends the transfer order directly to show site in Kansas City. Dallas sent 2 trucks worth of equipment to Kansas City. Upon completion of the show, the 2 trucks head back to Dallas with the Chicago transfer order equipment on them. Dallas scans in all equipment, including the equipment on transfer from Chicago. Dallas must now return the equipment to Chicago on a return transfer order.

Steps in R2:

  1. User from Dallas site will create a drop ship Transfer-In from Chicago with Return Transfer

  2. Chicago user will prep and ship the items on the Transfer Order. Items will be marked OUT on the Dallas order

  3. Upon completion of the show, all the items (including Chicago items) are returned to Dallas warehouse and user scans them in

  4. As there will be an open Return Transfer from Dallas to Chicago, R2 will not flag the Chicago equipments for Jell-O Shot

So, Scenario # 1 is not a Jell-O Shot scenario

Scenario # 2

Same as #1, however, upon completion of the show the equipment on transfer from Chicago (they found all items belonging to Chicago) is sent directly back to Chicago from Show site in Kansas City. The Return Transfer Order from Dallas to Chicago was not dispatched.

Steps in R2:

  1. User from Dallas site will create a drop ship Transfer-In from Chicago with Return Transfer

  2. Chicago user will prep and ship the items on the Transfer Order. Items will be marked OUT on the Dallas order

  3. Upon completion of the show, all Items belong to Dallas are returned to Dallas warehouse and user scans them in

  4. Similarly, Chicago items are directly returned to Chicago and user scans them in Batch Return

  5. System finds out that items scanned are OUT on Dallas order and an open Return Transfer from Dallas to Chicago exists.

  6. Items are returned on Dallas order and Return Transfer is completed.

So, Scenario # 2 is not a Jell-O Shot scenario

Scenario # 3

Same as #1, however, at the end of the show there are 2 flow orders to process from show site. One flow order contains only Dallas equipment. The second flow order contains Dallas equipment, as well as a couple pieces of the Chicago equipment. The remainder of the equipment is sent back to Dallas on the trucks.

Steps in R2:

  1. User from Dallas site will create a drop ship Transfer-In from Chicago with Return Transfer

  2. Chicago user will prep and ship the items on the Transfer Order. Items will be marked OUT on the Dallas order

  3. Upon completion of the show, user will find out that 2 flow orders (created for Dallas orders) have to be fulfilled

  4. User will prep & ship the items required on flow orders.

  5. If the scanned items are due on any Return Transfer Order, conflicts will be generated

  6. User returns the remaining items (few Chicago items included) at Dallas warehouse

  7. As there will be an open Return Transfer from Dallas to Chicago, R2 will not flag the Chicago equipments for Jell-O Shot

  8. When the items are returned from other shows, if user scans Chicago items and Return Transfer Order still exists, R2 will not flag those items for Jell-O Shot

So, Scenario# 3 is not a Jell-O Shot scenario

Scenario # 4

Dallas Branch is producing 3 shows concurrently. Each of these shows contains multiple transfer orders from various branches. All of which were sent to the Dallas warehouse first to be put on trucks going to the 3 different show sites. Upon completion of the events, all of the trucks arrive back in Dallas on the same day. All trucks are unloaded first and all of the equipment is scanned at the same time. Dallas must sort through all of the equipment from all three shows to figure out what equipment is supposed to be sent back to branches via return transfer orders.

Steps in R2:

  1. User from Dallas site will create a drop ship Transfer-In with Return Transfer from various branches.

  2. Upon completion of the show, all the items are returned to Dallas warehouse and user scans them in

  3. As there will be an open Return Transfer from Dallas to various branches, R2 will not flag the other site equipments for Jell-O Shot

So, Scenario# 4 is not a Jell-O Shot scenario

Scenario # 5

Washington D.C. Branch is producing a show in Philadelphia. They need a large transfer order from the Dallas Branch that is almost a full truck load. They also need a transfer order from the Chicago Branch. The transfer from Chicago is first sent to the Dallas warehouse because there was already a truck headed to Dallas from Chicago with other returns. Dallas unloads this truck and must figure out what equipment is:

  1. Return transfers from Chicago, and

  2. Chicago transfers to Washington and needs to get on the truck to Philadelphia. Washington also needs to get a small transfer from the Orlando Branch that Orlando will send to the Washington warehouse to ride the truck that is going from Washington to Philadelphia. The truck from Dallas goes directly to Philadelphia. Upon completion of the show, one truck is loaded with (hopefully) the equipment that should go back to Dallas. This also includes the equipment that both Chicago AND Orlando sent. By accident, some pieces of equipment belonging to Washington were also put on that truck to Dallas. The rest of the equipment left on show site is put on the other truck headed back to Washington. Unfortunately, there was not enough room on the truck sent to Dallas for all of the equipment, and some of it was loaded on the truck going back to Washington. Both Washington and Dallas must figure out what equipment should go where.

Steps in R2:

  1. User from Washington D.C site will create a drop ship Transfer-In from Dallas with Return Transfer

  2. User will also create another drop ship Transfer-In from Chicago with Return Transfer

  3. Chicago user decides to send the equipments via Dallas by splitting the Transfer-Out from Chicago to Washington D.C as below

    1. Transfer-Out from Chicago to Dallas

    2. Transfer-Out from Dallas to Washington D.C. As it’s going straight to the show, user has to mark the Transfer-Out from Dallas to Washington D.C as drop ship transfer

  4. When user at Dallas receives the equipment and scans it, as the item is on the Transfer-In, it will be received. Also, as there is a leading Transfer-Out to Washington D.C, item will not be flagged for Jell-O Shot

  5. Dallas user ships all the equipments directly to show site

  6. User from Washington D.C site will also create another Transfer-In from Orlando with Return Transfer

  7. Upon completion of the show, some equipments are sent to Dallas (which may include equipments from Chicago and Orlando)

  8. When user scans the item at Dallas, if the item belongs to: -

    1. Dallas, it will be returned on order

    2. Chicago, as the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, item will be flagged for Jell-O Shot. The Return Transfer from Washington D.C will be cancelled and item will be on Transfer-Out from Dallas to Chicago

    3. Orlando, as the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, item will be flagged for Jell-O Shot. The Return Transfer from Washington D.C will be cancelled and item will be on Transfer-Out from Dallas to Orlando

    4. Washington D.C, as the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, item will be flagged for Jell-O Shot.

  9. Remaining equipment at the show, are sent back to Washington D.C

  10. When user scans the item at Washington D.C, if the item belongs to: -

    1. Washington D.C, it will be returned on order

    2. Chicago, although the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, as there will be a Return Transfer from Washington D.C to Chicago, item will not be flagged for Jell-O Shot.

    3. Orlando, although the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, as there will be a Return Transfer from Washington D.C to Orlando, item will not be flagged for Jell-O Shot.

    4. Dallas, as the scanned site is not owner site of the equipment, item will be flagged for Jell- O Shot.
