Enhanced 'Fixed' unit to consider duration

A new category to the unit 'Daily fixed' is added in the booking line. User can decide whether, Fixed Unit has to consider the Duration for deriving the Amount.

Instead of setting a flat amount for the line, Fixed unit can consider the duration to calculate the Total Amount.

Before upgrade: 'Fixed' unit with Rate at $100/day and Duration of 3 days, Total Amount was $100.

Post upgrade: “Fixed” unit with Rate at $100/day and Duration of 10 days, Total Amount will be $300 as shown below.

Functional Changes

Key Guidelines of the changes are noted below for Booking Line with Fixed unit.

1. Irrespective of hours worked in a day, Full Day charge should be applied.

2. If EWT starts on a day and ends next day, RT will still be 1 day.

   1. Pay Policy (using grid pricing) will behave as usual without any change.

3. Post upgrade, below changes will automatically be done for Booking lines with Fixed unit.

   1. If Timesheet is not yet created for the Booking line.

      1. RT in EWT will be set to 1 for all the Days of EWT.

   2. If Timesheet exist for the Booking line.

      1. RT in EWT will be set to 1 for the First Day alone in EWT.

      2. Rest of the days will have EWT as 0.

   3. Total Amount Calculation in Planning Order.

      1. RT on Booking line will be sum of RT in the EWT.

      2. Booking Line Amount will be RT X Rate.

4. User has the provision to change RT as 0 or 1 in EWT.

   1. If RT is set to 0, the Day will not be considered for calculations.

5. Changes in Timesheet.

   1. On creating Time sheet first time post upgrade for a Booking line,

      1. System defaults all EWT lines into Timesheet having unit as Fixed and RT as 1.

   2. To create Time sheet for a Booking line already having Timesheet before Upgrade,

      1. Update RT to 1 for the days to which Timesheet must be created.

      2. Upon creating Timesheet, System defaults all EWT lines into Timesheet having unit as Fixed and RT as 1 and not present in any other Timesheet.

6. Time sheet will continue to allow to pay partial amount for each EWT line having unit as Fixed and RT as 1.

7. Payroll extract and Export/Import Time sheet will include all EWT lines having unit as Fixed irrespective of RT value, 0 or 1.
