If itinerary exists
R2Labor restricts modifying certain actions for booking lines that have associated itineraries. In specific scenarios, confirmation prompts are displayed to allow users to confirm whether they wish to proceed.
Rationale Behind Restrictions
From a business logic perspective, an itinerary associated with a booking line indicates that travel arrangements have already been made for the assigned crew.
To maintain data accuracy and avoid conflicts, planners must be aware when booking lines have existing itineraries before attempting modifications.
Bulk Planning Behaviour
During bulk planning, planners may select booking lines with and without itineraries. In such cases:
Actions proceed only for booking lines without itineraries.
A message is shown for lines with existing itineraries, indicating that planning cannot proceed for those lines.
These restrictions significantly enhance data integrity and prevent discrepancies that could affect travel and labor planning.
Visual Indicators
A dedicated Itinerary icon has been introduced at various interface points to signify that a booking line has an associated itinerary.
