Revision History
The Jell-O-Shot Transfer Orders are automatically created by the system for the items which are returned to different business location after completion of an Order process instead of the location where the item actually belongs to. The Transfer order will be created for transferring the item from the returned location to the home site of the item. The Jell-O-Shot Transfer order will be auto-created only if the option "Create Jell-O-Shot" is selected in the configuration settings.
During an event, the items can be received from multiple locations. In such cases, you can create the Transfer Order to receive the item from these locations and on the completion of the event sends them back to the original site.
Sometimes it happens that the item is sent back to a site other than the one from which it was shipped. Owing to this the items become unavailable on further orders. In such cases the Jell-O-Shot functionality can be used. Using this functionality, a Transfer Order can be created directly to the items original site.
This functionality can be utilized only if the 'Create Jell-O-Shot' checkbox in the Configuration > Warehouse tab was selected.
Jell-O-Shot Transfer orders will have the label Jell-O-Shot mentioned in the Order Window Title Bar, as shown below:
Once you click on the Jell-O-Shot button in the Configuration > Warehouse tab, the Jell-O-Shot Window Opens.

Save: Allows user to save the settings that has been configured.
New: Allows user to create a new set-up. On clicking this icon, R2 will insert a new row with the From Site and To Site fields blank. If user has not selected any site in both the columns, R2 will consider this as a default record whenever it creates a Jell-O Shot. It takes this record and sets the Description, Transit Mode, Ship Date, Receive Date and Auto Ship/Receive.
If the user selects only the From Site and leaves the To Site blank, if R2 creates the Jell-O-Shot from this site to any other site then this default value will be considered.
Delete: Allows user to delete the existing configuration settings. This will not affect the existing Transfer Order. The new settings will be applicable when creating a new Jell-O-Shot Transfer Order.
Currently, R2 does not allow the user to set only the To Site.
The priority for considering the record will be as follows:
Matching From Site and To Site
Matching From Site with the To Site blank
Both the fields blank
Transit Mode: If the user has not selected any transit mode, R2 will consider the first Transit Mode defined in the Carrier Types.
Ship date: Allows user to enter the day on which the item can be shipped.
If the day is invalid then R2 will take the end of the month as the Ship Date. The end of the month would again be set as the date of return. The same is applicable if no date has been entered.
For Example::
If the item is returned on the 10th of July, 2006 and the user sets the Ship Date and Receive Date as 20th of July, 2006 and 30th of July respectively, then while creating a Jell-O-Shot the Prep Date will be 10th of July, 2006. The Ship Date and the Receive Date will be 20th July 2006 and 30th July 2006 respectively.
If the item is returned on the 10th of July 2006 and the Ship Date and the Receive Date are left blank, then the Prep Date will be the 10th of July 2006 and the Ship date and Receive date will be 31st of July 2006.
Scenario: When is a Jell-O-Shot Order created?
A company has its sites in Las Vegas, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles. An event is conducted at Las Vegas for which items are required from Dallas.
A Transfer Order is created with the Return Order from Las Vegas to Dallas. The item is then sent from Las Vegas to the event. After the event, instead of shipping the items to Las Vegas, it is shipped to Los Angeles. In such a scenario, R2 creates a Jell-O-Shot from Los Angeles to Dallas and the Return Order from Las Vegas to Dallas is cancelled.
In case the item is directly shipped to Dallas, then R2 will not create Jell-O-Shot. And it will automatically cancel the Return Transfer Order from Las Vegas to Dallas.
If the user selects an option to create a Jell-O-Shot, then the creation of a one-way transfer is pointless.
If the user receives or returns an item other than through Batch Returns, R2 will return it to the current site without creating a Jell-O-Shot.
Once a Jell-O-Shot has been created to a particular site, R2 will keep adding the items to the same Jell-O-Shot until shipment.
R2 allows the user to cancel the Jell-O-Shot after un-filling an item.
On adding an item to an existing Jell-O-Shot it will always show filled status.
