Multi-Currency in Item Pricing

While defining pricing for items, the user can define pricing based on Site currency and Transaction Currency which will be defaulted to the order for item whenever the corresponding currency code is selected.

Defining Site Currency Item Pricing

The steps for defining Site Currency Item Pricing are:

1. Access Item Pricing Dialog box.

2. Click Add to display Pricing definition dialog box wherein you can add a new pricing for the item.

3. Select the Date from which the pricing has to be applied for the item.

4. Select the Unit for which the pricing has to be considered.

5. Click on the importable button available in the Site Currency field to select a site currency.

If Site Currency is not selected, while adding the item into an order,  the defined price will be considered as the Site Price for the item irrespective of the Site Currency selected in the order.

6. Define the Price.

7. Click Accept icon

8. The newly added price definition will be displayed in the Pricing Dialog box.

The user can also define the Item Pricing based on different currency conversion rates. For example, if the price defined for the item is in USD, the user can define pricing for item in any other currency rates by converting the price defined in USD to the respective currency. The conversion will be done based on the currency conversion defined in the configuration module.

Defining Transaction Currency Item pricing

 The steps for defining Site Currency Item Pricing are:

1. Access Item Pricing Dialog box .

2. Click Add to display Pricing definition dialog box wherein you can add a new pricing for the item.

3. Select the Date from which the pricing has to be applied for the item.

4. Select the Unit for which the pricing has to be considered.

5. Click on the importable button available in the Site Currency field to select a site currency.

6. Define the Price.

7. Click on Add icon  to display Currency Pricing Details Dialog box.

8. Click on the importable button available in the Currency Code field for selecting a currency code.

9. R2 will automatically calculate and display the price by converting the site currency price to the Currency code selected. If no conversion rate is defined for the Site Currency to the Currency Code selected or if the Site Currency is not selected in the Pricing Dialog box, the Price field will be displayed as blank.

10. The user can also modify the converted price, which is displayed in the price field, by which on importing the item into the order, the Item site price will be re-calculated based on the conversion rate if Site Currency to Transaction Currency present in the order.

9. Click OK. The Currency Code with the Converted value will be displayed in the Pricing definition dialog box.
