Edit Report Filter

In the Filter Tab on selecting and adding a field as a filter from the Reports Fields section to the Filtered Fields section, you can edit the selected field by double clicking on the field in the Filtered Field section.

On double clicking on the selected field, system will display the Edit Report Filter dialog to edit the Type, Criteria and the Filter Value for the selected Field. On defining and selecting all the options in the Edit Report dialog will display the selected filter option as static in the filter layout displayed while clicking on the preview button of the Preview tab.

Field Information of Edit Report Filter

Field Name

Displays the selected Field name.

Type

Displays three options 'Value, Value Range and List' in the drop down list of the Type field by which you can select the required type.

•  Value

On selecting the Type 'value' for the selected field, you can select a criteria and define a filter value for the field.

•  Value Range

On selecting the Type 'Value Range' for the selected field, you will not be able to select criteria and filter value for the field.

•  List

On selecting the Type 'List' for the selected field, you can select both criteria and filter value from the drop down lists.

Criteria

Displays the criteria's created in the criteria tab of the Configuration module in drop down List, which the user will be able to select for the field.

Filter Value

In the Filter Value field, the user will be able to define the required value that has to be filtered for the selected field.

Note: If the Criteria and the Filter value for the field is already set in the Edit Report Filter dialog, then while clicking on the Preview button in the Preview Tab will automatically generate the report without displaying the filter dialog.

• If only one option is selected as filtered and the criteria and the Filter value is set in the Edit Report Filter dialog of the Filters tab, system will not display the Filter dialog on clicking the Preview button in the Preview Tab.

• If multiple options are selected as filtered option and for a few the Criteria and the Filtered Value is set, then on clicking the Preview button in the Preview Tab will display the Filter dialog with the fields selected as filter Options. But the fields for which already the Criteria and the Field Value is set in the Filters Tab will be displayed as disable.
