Item Weight an Count

Support to Consider Item Weight and Count Defined in Asset Edit Window for the Items Selected in Transportation Logistics

Functionality Before Change

In the Transportation Logistics Detail window, the value for weight was always considered as the Total Weight (always from the Item Edit window) for all the items present in the schedules added.

Functionality After Change

Now, the Total weight field will display the value based on the status of the item (that is, Filled/Not Filled), and also whether the items are selected for Transportation.

Calculation of Total Weight

  • If no Item are selected for Dispatch in Transportation Logistics, but Order Schedules are present in the Logistics Detail, then Total Weight will be displayed as - Sum of weight of all Filled Items (considered from Asset Edit Window) + Sum of weight of all Not - Filled Items (considered from Item Edit window)-(weight of items on the added Order Schedule, which has been already added to another Logistics Schedule).

  • If any Item is selected for Dispatch in Transportation Logistics, then the Total Weight will be displayed as - Total weight of only the item selected for dispatch from asset edit window.

Illustration

  • Consider an Order [Order#1] Schedule having 5 items present (as below), in which none of the items are filled. In Item Edit window, the weight is defined as 80.

On adding the Order[Order#1] Schedule to Logistics Schedule [Trans#1], the Total weight field will display the value as 400 (80 x 5) (Weight considered from Item Edit window)

  • Fill an Asset [Asset#1] on the Order. Now, the Total weight in Transportation will be displayed as (80 x 4) + 20 = 340

  • Select the Asset [Asset#1] for Dispatch in Transportation. Now, the Total weight will be displayed as 20 (will display the total weight of only the item selected for dispatch from asset edit window)

  • Create another Transportation Schedule [Trans#2] and the Order Schedule of [Order#1]. Now, the Total Weight will be displayed as (80 x 4) + 20 = 340.

In all the above mentioned scenarios, the item count will be based on the number of items considered for the calculating weight.
